Процесс обучения, который больше похож на современную версию инквизиции, полный криков, открытых угроз, бархатных обещаний, подарков или видеоигр как формы финансового подкупа, театральных жестов, запоминающихся речей, эмоционального примирения и впечатляющих выходов за пределы сцены. Для каждого класса это вопрос жизни или смерти. Кто первым уступит, а кто сломается? Любящие родители или их эгоистичный ребенок? Кто первым проклянет автора нынешней программы? Кто выучит наизусть всю эту ненужную информацию? Кто научится петь песню к завтрашнему экзамену в полночь? Кто ответит на вопрос: что хотел сказать автор своей работой? Все это ужасные вопросы, а человек — лишь крошечный пылинок, хрупкий и слабый. Однако основная часть человеческой натуры — не уступать. Так что давайте двигаться дальше, продолжать настаивать, будущее должно быть лучше. Давайте бороться за знания, как самурай или камикадзе.

One family. A nine year old child. The Croatian curriculum for the third grade of the primary school. A sufficient reason for a divorce and a nervous break down.
A children’s desk as a stage for a comical family drama. Learning process which seems more like a modern version of the inquisition, full of yelling, shouting, open threats, velvety promises, presents or video games as a form of financial bribery, theatrical gestures, memorable speeches, emotional conciliations and impressive walks out of stage. For each grade is a question of life or death. Who will be the first to give in, and who will snap? Loving parents or their selfish child? Who will be the first to curse the author of the present curriculum? Who will learn by heart all of those unnecessary information? Who will learn to sing a song for a tommorrow’s exam at midnight? Who will answer the question: What did the author want to say with his work? Theese are all terrible questions, and a man is just a tiny piece of dust, fragile and weak. However, the essential part of a human nature is not to give in. So let’s move on, keep on persisting, the future must be better. Let us fight for knowledge like a samurai or a kamikaze, for as long as we breathe.
