В 2019 году исполнилось 80 лет со дня событий на реке Халхин-Гол, в ходе которых советские войска нанесли поражение японской армии, вторгшейся в Монголию. В этот знаменательный для русско-монгольской истории день отряд добровольцев организовал поисковую экспедицию по местам воинской славы. Их целью было увековечить память о павших героях-освободителях и попутно рассказать историю произошедших событий через призму найденных артефактов.
Раскопки длились 5 дней. За это время были обнаружены останки 14 солдат Красной Армии, 2 солдат армии МНР, 45 солдат японской армии. Благодаря этим находкам участники поисковой экспедиции смогли составить более подробную картину исторической битвы на Халхин-Голе. Артефакты, найденные в ходе поисковых мероприятий, переданы в музеи Монголии. Останки солдат Красной Армии и армии МНР были захоронены в сентябре 2019 года.

2019 marked the 80th anniversary of the events on the Khalkhin-Gol River, during which Soviet troops defeated the Japanese army that had invaded Mongolia. On this memorable date for Russian-Mongolian history, a detachment of volunteers organized a search expedition to places of military glory. Their goal was to perpetuate the memory of the fallen heroes-liberators and along the way to tell the story of the events that happened through the prism of the artifacts found.
The excavations lasted 5 days. During this time, the remains of 14 soldiers of the Red Army, 2 soldiers of the MPR army, 45 soldiers of the Japanese army were discovered. Thanks to these findings, the members of the search expedition were able to draw up a more detailed picture of the historical battle of Khalkhin Gol. The artifacts found during the search activities were transferred to the museums of Mongolia. The remains of the soldiers of the Red Army and the MPR army were buried in September 2019.

The expedition and filming of the documentary were carried out with the financial support of patrons, personal funds of search engines and the author of the film. And also with the direct participation of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Moscow branch of the Russian Military Historical Society, the Russian Embassy in Mongolia, the Ministry of Defense of Mongolia, the Red Cross of Mongolia and the Mongolian Border Administration.
